Water Heater Imports in Central America

Between January and September 2016 imports of water heaters in Central American countries as a whole went down by 16% compared to the same period in 2015.

Imports by country 
From January to September 2016 the main importer of water heaters in Central America was Costa Rica with $5 million, followed by Guatemala with $4 million, Panama with $2 million, Honduras with $1 million and Nicaragua and El Salvador with less than $1 million. 

Monthly imports from the region 
Between January 2012 and September 2016, the month that recorded the greatest monthly value of imports was April 2015, when the region together bought $2.49 million worth of water heaters, while the month with the lowest figure was April 2012, with $0.87 million.

Variation of regional imports 
Imports in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period in the previous year went up by 13% in 2013 and 34% in 2015 and went down by 11% in 2014 and 16% in 2016.
